Now I've seen everything. :D

and here's an article relating to Ron Paul:

http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200710u/colbert-campaign/2

"I put Ron Paul in a separate category of “protest candidate,” but he should be sweating, too. Paul’s supporters are among the most passionate and committed this cycle. But their profile is similar to that of the voters Colbert might attract. (“Pot smokers,” a Republican consultant called them.) Anonymous presidential advisor: “If Colbert wants to do it he’s got to convert every young, semi-liberal Ron Paul supporter to the Colbert cause. If a young white male is going to vote, watches Comedy Central, and is internet savvy, chances are he’s a Ron Paul supporter.”"

(continued in article)

I would have voted for the Stewart/Colbert ticket in 2004.

We're in grave danger. We can't even get Ron Paul on Meet the Press and Colbert is going to be on there in about 3 hours!

I think the press is in grave danger. Have you ever seen what Stewart and Colbert do at serious press events? Stewart got a show canceled and Colbert told an entire room of reporters off. Of course if Colbert stays in character then it will just be a big joke but I pray that he won't (and for an agnostic that's saying a lot).

^i don't smoke pot. also, not just white but cherokee too...

(incase we needed more proof that)republic consultants are friggin' clueless

who is paying these people?

p.s. when I vote for Colbert it will be a vote for wrist awareness
and nothing else though I have little doubt that he will crush
the fed, the irs, dea, and corporate subsidies...

we'll see.

here you go, listen to this, for one it's funny, and for two they ask 'so where does your campaign go after South Carolina' to which he answers, revealing how far he is going with this...

Stephen Colbert on NPR's 'Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!' Hilarious Interview!
Talks about his run for President in South Carolina (You can run for President of both parties and you can marry a 13 year old in SC), how he got his start on the Daily Show, and his wife's reaction to the script for last year's Correspondant's Dinner. Very very funny! The link is the 4th one down on the list.

I would say look at what Stewart did when the MSM made the mistake off thinking he was just a comedian.

If Colbert steps outside of character then he will get only one MSM appearance and it will be great.

Colbert is on Meet the Press right now and he sounds serious about running in South Carolina.

I think it is great........ No one who supprts Ron is going to vote for Stephen, we all realize this is too important. The only people voting for Colbert are going to be the ones who noramally would have either voted for Mickey Mouse or the first name on the list. I see this as only helping Ron.
As for the R consultant or whatever saying we are all a bunch of potheads? Great! Let them underestimate us, do nothing to prepare and sit on their laurels. That's exactly what we want them to do!

We might lose some young votes to this.

this won't go all the way, theres a video on the FN website about how hes actually breaking FEC laws somehow (im not sure how)

although if it does go all the way i think colbert is the one that will cause us the most harm

NO one that is a ron paul supporter is going to switch to colbert but he might grab a lot of the votes we would have ended up with

The democrat thing I can see, 'the colbert nation' can get 3000 signatures easily enough, meaning it costs nothing, the republican on the other hand, $35,000 isn't throw around money to many people, but I guess if it pays back in TV ratings or book sales ...
