Ron Paul supports the economics, free market solution to the problem. Cause the airlines to lose so much money that they rally against the TSA (since you know the government won't bailout every single airline, and with a Republican Congress, it will be a bit harder) and the scanners will disappear.

Someone needs to tell the black woman in the middle who uttered "ridiculous" and then "that's dumb" to a boycott of the airlines that if it weren't for a boycott of another transportation industry she might not be able to ride a bus.

As far as I'm concerned, treating everyone like a terrorist just for being alive is just as bad as thinking less of someone for their skin color.

Sigh... funny how the loss of freedom is accepted and embraced when it happens to the majority, and an abomination when it happens to only a few.

They can reach a lot of people, but we can too. I think something there was something like a 30% drop in TV subscriptions recently. Yeah, they can reach 1,000,000 people, but like some have said here, not everyone is going to like or care about what these people say.

*The grassroots* needs to reach out to people every day, and talk to people in a 1-on-1 basis. Remember, it is *our* country, and *we* have to take it back. Maybe we can't reach these 'media personalities', but I'm sure we can reach through to every day Americans. No one said it was going to be easy.

I'd love for that to happen, but I'm more inclined to believe that they'd be programmed to eat him alive if he ever gave them or their shitty show the time of day in the next few years. I see that DjLoTi posted an interview they did in 2007 and they didn't seem that bad, but with Rand getting elected, I wouldn't be shocked if they see him and the liberty movement as a bigger threat and went out in full attack mode :( I could see them playing tag-team and squawking a bunch of smears at him while not giving him more than 3 seconds to refute them.

Behar shrieks: "Tell us Congressman, how many of the babies that you supposedly delivered as an Ob/Gyn did you actually set fire to and eat alive in front of their mothers?! Also, tell us about that time you beat your wife within an inch of her life..."

Ron: "I nev..."

Walters shrills: Congressman, why do you support 3 year olds working 22 hours a day, 7 days a week within the free market system that you often laud?"

Ron: "Wha..."

Whoppi bellows: "Why do you and your white supremacist son want to turn me into a slave again?" [as if she ever was a slave in the first fucking place]

Ron: "Now, wait a minu..."

Hasselbeck shrills: "Why were you celebrating 9/11, you jihad loving isolationist, you!"

Ron: "That's ridicul..."

Sherri ends it: "Well, that's all the time we have with Congressman Paul for today!"

My point was that blacks vote in monolithic numbers for democrats and women also vote and poll in similar monolithic blocs for democrat's economic "fairness" issues, safety, gun control, etc., though not like the numbers for blacks and democrats.

They are not necessarily more educated. It's simply that they have convinced people that they know best for everyone else without actually delivering any results. In fact, the results they've brought upon people have been horrific.

I don't think they're intelligent. And if I were the most intelligent man in the world, I would not make the mistake of thinking that I know what's best for everyone. Nobody has that type of information. Which is why free markets work. Everyone collaborates to find out the information or needed intelligence to make the right choices for themselves. The government thinks they know what is best for everyone, but they don't. I think Thomas Sowell wrote a book on this very subject, Vision of the Annointed or something like that.

dur

do people even wonder why this country since its founding is now in its worst shape, the absolute lowest of the low in every aspect just at a time when "scholars" are closest to the socialistic, big government, "left", side.

and what do you exactly mean by educated, as in education admitted by a government institution, or the real scientists who actually made a damn dime of difference around the world. newton, einstein, perhaps? how many people were "educated" without so much in focusing on the papers. as far as i could tell, they were not known for being particularly political. i don't know much about their political leanings, but it seems your scope of "the educated" is disgustingly small.

certainly there is no government certificate for a successful businessmen. does it take managerial skills and strategic planning to get a business off ground? it could probably fill volumes of "textbooks". but again why would someone put his success recipe in a school for all to learn when it's something that can be easily duplicated and not copyright protected like an actual physical product. just reinforces the point that public school is a breeding ground for mediocracy and left-over materials that no one really gives a damn about, and that there is no one worrying about you learning its secrets then coming back and bite the hand that "fed" you.

think it through better with some incentive analysis pls

Until we who oppose these intrusions and violations of our rights can come up with a workable, sensible, rational alternative we're going to keep sounding like kooks to these people. We keep saying that we support "a free market solution" but never explain what that means in a way that will make people feel safe and still not violated.
My own personal solution is simply to not fly. I drive all day for work and I have always been a driving animal who could go and go and go day and night. So if I need to go anywhere within a 20 hour drive I will just tell them to go screw themselves and they won't get my business. When it comes time to make vacation plans I factor my position into the mix and decide to stay on the mainland or take a boat.

So you guys better come up with something before we lose credibility.I for one can't think of anything except to just not fly but not everyone especially frequent business travelers or emergency travelers can do that. They need to be somewhere fast and get back fast so they must endure it until the "free market" comes up with a plan.

The one thing I can think of is that the airlines should be in charge of their own security not the government. If the airlines search and grope they aren't violating our rights because we are choosing to use their carrier. The Constitution prevents the government from doing it and we should be offended and alarmed by their practices and we shouldn't put up with it.
That said, I would still be offended if some private security interest tried to grope me or my wife or my kids or look at us nekked. I just don't know what the answer is, all I know is that the way the TSA is doing it isn't it.

this pretty much demonstrates that when it comes down to your hard left, hard right, and moderates, they all pretty much will align with police-state like measures just to feel safe...even if such measures do little to nothing for their actual security, yet have dramatic reductions in personal freedom in the process.
