Unfortunately, no matter what the EU parliament thinks or recommends, it's the European Council that basically calls the shots on the basic political agenda in the EU. EU will continue on its path to bankrupting the countries that make it up, for the benefit of the central banks.

My dream would be to go back to the free banking era we had after Andrew Jackson. With the internet and information technology we have now, the capabilities of making a robust dependable currency is possible.

Just imagine a bank wants to prove to its customers that yes indeed it does have the gold to back it up. They could have a web cam constantly showing the bank vault full of gold. If you break down all the regulations on private currencies stuff like the liberty dollar would prevail.
