Indeed, a Public Policy Polling survey conducted in late October put Lieberman's approval rating at a rock-bottom 33 percent. Lieberman had the support of just 24 percent of Democrats and 34 percent of independents. His best numbers were among Republicans, 48 percent of whom gave him a thumbs-up.

.....

Lieberman recently told POLITICO he hasn’t decided whether to retire or run as an independent, a Democrat or a Republican. “All those options are still alive,” he said.

Are Republicans really going to nominate Lieberman?

Haha Lieberman is literally the worst senator there is, and combines the absolute worst of both parties. In one Freedom Index, he had a 3% constitutional rating - which caused my brother to ask whether he had hit the wrong button. :P Why not just go for 0%?

Shouldn't be any surprise really. Most Republicans are Christians and the Bible commands Christians to protect Israel at all cost. Lieberman is a Zionist. So...

Yep, a social conservative, an interventionist, and a socialist, nothing could be worse.

As bad as Lieberman is, he was vital in stopping the public option.

But still, he needs to go, and I'll gladly take a Barbara Boxer liberal over him.

New England Republicans tend to be neocons so I'm not surprised by this. I'm glad to see that Lieberman is hated in his own party.
