View Full Version : Anyone else noticing the media demonizing RP for his comments re: TSA?

This morning, the woman on Fox & Friends (Gretchen?) declared Ron Paul's comments "un-American" regarding his suggestion that boycotting the airlines might be the only way to reign in the TSA.

The panel on "The View" also unanimously agreed that his comments were uncalled for.

Anyone else noticed this, or did I just see both references by chance? (Note: Don't ask me why I was watching either show. Been doing work with a TV on, and my ears perk up when I hear the name "Ron Paul." :p )

It is actually combines two of the most-American things you can do - vote with your dollar and stand up for your rights.

Here is the video where his comments were mentioned this morning on "Fox & Friends." Unfortunately, it cuts off before the panel offers their (overwhelmingly negative) commentary:

More proof that Drudge controls the media topics..

BTW, here's more from Fox, but in very bad cam quality:

They are just toeing the Obama line. Remember that DHS memo that came out requiring the listing of anybody who opposes pornorgrope as domestic extremists? Yeah, even FOX toes the Obama line when it comes to statism vs freedom.

Thanks. Just to summarize for everyone else, they don't talk about Ron Paul anymore after the 1:06 mark.

They don't talk about Ron Paul in the clip they have from today's show, but they should be posting the full episode later on.

The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George. I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist oppressive state power. The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state. [...] Resistance to illegal and unconstitutional usurpation of our rights is required. Each of us must choose which course of action we should take: education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did nothing. Let not those who love the power of the welfare/warfare state label the dissenters of authoritarianism as unpatriotic or uncaring. Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security. Understanding the magnificent rewards of a free society makes us unbashful in its promotion, fully realizing that maximum wealth is created and the greatest chance for peace comes from a society respectful of individual liberty.

Not the first time they called Ron un-American. If protesting is un-American, so am I.

Step One: Conduct a misleading opinion poll.

Step Two: Get the skewed results you want.

Step Three: Demonize anyone who calls b.s. and use your poll results to accuse them of being out of step with the people.

Step Four: Eventually lose your supporters to the man who isn't full of b.s.
