Does anybody know when the lame duck session of Congress ends? I've been looking on the internet to try to find that out, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm hoping that the GOP can try to slow things down as much as possible and prevent the Dems from passing bad bills like the Dream Act, the FDA bill, the Start Treaty, etc.

occurs whenever one Congress meets after its successor is elected, but before the successor's term begins

The 112th Congress begins January 3, 2011, so the lame duck session ends January 2/3.

But Congress never stays in session all the way to January 3. I thought I had heard that the lame duck session would only last two weeks, which would mean that it would end this Friday. That must have been incorrect.

They don't stay in session, but they can always be recalled in a time of crisis...
