Of course they do. They have to stomp into the ground anyone who spreads the truth..

So they don't like the guy doing what he is doing, thus they trump up some other charge to grab him with. I really hope he has others there to take over where he leaves off when they grab him.

Assange is wanted on suspicion of rape and sexual molestation.
"The prosecutor had already decided to issue an international arrest warrant - we made sure that all the police forces in the world would see it," Tommy Kangasvieri of the SwedishNational Criminal Police said yesterday.
I don't think rapists get international arrest warrants, do they?

Depends on the cases. High-profile people do, and all warrants of people suspected of fleeing their home country are put on the Interpol database.

Those douchebags let Roman Polanski lead a happy life overseas for 40 years after drugging, raping, and sodomizing a 13 year old girl.

Then the guy did it AGAIN over in Europe

Now they want to start an international hunt for a guy with trumped up charges who just happens to run a website that exposes government fraud, corruption, and murder. Hmmm

I am not so fond of so called "international police" and any sort of supra-national authority.

They'll never find him. 10 years and they are still looking for Osama.

Osama is either dead or in a random cave. Assange stays closer to civilization. However, if Assange has a strong network of supporters that cannot be linked to him readily, then he can stay on the run indefinitely.
