TSA chief John Pistole to put priority on rail, subways

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2010-07-16-tsa16_ST_N.htm

ARLINGTON, Va. — Protecting riders on mass-transit systems from terrorist attacks will be as high a priority as ensuring safe air travel, the new head of the Transportation Security Administration promises.

In his first interview since taking over the TSA, former FBI deputy director John Pistole told USA TODAY that some terrorists consider subway and rail cars an easier target than heavily secured planes. "Given the list of threats on subways and rails over the last six years going on seven years, we know that some terrorist groups see rail and subways as being more vulnerable because there's not the type of screening that you find in aviation," he said. "From my perspective, that is an equally important threat area."

It's funny how Obama makes the guy, who was the Deputy Director of the FBI under George Bush, the chief of the TSA.

Well, as some "boobus Americanus" would say, you can still take the Bus.

TSA asshat, former FBI deputy director John Pistole...

These assholes just said to the American people...

TSA, "FUCK YOU, if you try to BOYCOTT Airports and the Airlines to circumvent the industry, our authority will screw you and make your life miserable however you travel, by any means."

What next... ROAD CHECKS EVERYWHERE on the highways for bombs and terrorists?

Like see how the American Sheeple herd themselves across the country.

I am more concerned about the shoddy repair work done by the Metro Transit Authority than I am by any potential terrorist on the subway.

Other crowded bomber targets we must protect...

How about scanners for churches on Sunday morning?
High School dances? NFL games? NHL? NBA? WWE? MLB? Shopping Malls?
Flea Markets? Classrooms? Buses? Comedy Clubs? Bars? 4th of July parades?

we're gonna look like the friggin Gaza strip soon!

This is a pure totalitarian takeover.

I hate to say it, but it seems inevitable that the road checks are coming. When I drove from San Diego to Texas in August, i could not believe the nazi-style border checks along the way, especially in AZ & TX. The police state marches on...

Yep. A few months after 9/11 I did my own personal mental exercise. I played the mind game "If I was a terrorist how many ways could I strike innocent people in America". It was a frightening prospect. Then I played the other game. "If I was the government, what all would I have to do to stop everything that I thought about". That was an even more frightening prospect. The fact that none of the more obvious ways to kill Americans have materialized, while "Al Qaeda" focuses only on airplanes and using some of the dumbest methods possible, proves to me more than anything that this whole terror thing is a farce. But slowly and surely the government is rolling out a total police state. Bush and the republicans had become so unpopular that the people who "really hate our freedoms" had to switch parties. Now "conservatives" are up in arms about civil liberties (something they didn't care about 6 in 2008). The simple fact is this. We must decide enough is enough. And we must expose how fake this all is.

Where are all of those Hollywood stars and celebrities that helped get Obama into Office, why aren't they openly speaking out and showing disgust with this tyrannical bullshit?

Oh wait..... do they even have to go through checkpoints? I see.

If I have a private jet do I have to get groped? A private jet can be just as dangerous as a commercial one!

Your joke actually sparked a thought to me this morning. Going along the lines of the "good of the children" where most draconian government mandates for protection occur as well as indoctrination techniques (think thumb print scans as introductory tier to rfid chips whether subcutaneous or not) for heavily invested security measures.

Wonder what the odds are that another Columbine style situation would usher in the 'need' for this technology for our children backed by the teachers unions. The teachers and administration get a pass just like the pilots are looking to get but you have an entire generation with the exception of homeschoolers who would be exempted that are indoctrinated because they could mandate that any school with over x number of students is required to purchase this equipment.

You would reach a tipping point where the students become adults and wonder what all the fuss is about because they've never known anything about privacy.

It is only a matter of time you have to step through a scanner to go outside, their excuse will be that it is the public area and you're consenting to it by going into the public area. The sheep will of course accept it because they think it'll protect them from criminals. No sacrifice is too big for them.

I've been saying this for some time now. This is NOT going to stop at airport security. It will NOT stop with rail and subway security. Very shortly, it will be the expected duty of all "good citizens" to submit to random searches in public either by X-ray or gropedown.

WE MUST HOLD THE LINE HERE.

If we lose this fight, we lose the future.

The C4L needs to get out in front of this. I've seen people here buying into the "let's profile" nonsense. I also people put pro profiling comments on a C4L facebook thread about the issue. Nobody wants to face the fact that the government had everything it needed to stop the undie bomber (and 9/11 for that matter) without patdowns, profiling or pornoscans.

I partly think this whole TSA nonsense is staged to get people to WANT RFID chips!

I was thinking about that the other day. Before the porno scans they had already come up with the "express" lane where you could get through security faster if you were willing to submit to a more "thorough" background check. And now they're letting pilots opt out. That totally makes sense on the one hand. But on the other it is setting up the precedence for two classes of people, the cattle and their chipped overlords.

Expanding Partnerships for Security Enhancement

http://www.tsa.gov/what_we_do/tsnm/mass_transit/partnerships.shtm

"TSA, in coordination with its Federal partners, has established the Transit, Commuter and Long-Distance Rail Government Coordinating Council (GCC) to bring together the Federal entities with responsibilities that affect transit security. Members of the TCLDR-GCC include TSA, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and when appropriate, the Department of Defense (DOD). State and local governments are also invited to participate."

Ran across this webpage this evening. There is no doubt the power hungry TSA has their sites set on expanding.

The TSA was in charge of Obama's visit to Des Moines last summer to give a big speech outdoors downtown. They had the area cleared, and you had to go through one of a dozen scanners they brought in in order to get into the viewing area.

:( Because I think these naked body scanners are mostly power/greed oriented for why they are being distributed I think they will be employed in all means of mass transit eventually. MSM has just been the means of allowing the steam to vent so that Americans can feel they were heard. Frog in the frying pan, they just turned the heat up a bit too quick this time....

Janet Napolitano wants to spread (http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/130549-next-step-for-body-scanners-could-be-trains-boats-and-the-metro-) her sicko tricks to trains, subways, and boats. Other overlords have said they want it at malls and public schools. So this must be stopped at the airports before the infection spreads. “We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,” so to speak.

How about they offer an alternative to groping. Give me a plane with NO SECURITY. But a bomb on board. If a terrorist hijacks it, just blow up the plane. All of the passengers in the plane would know what they were signing up for, and no innocents would be harmed.

Actually, before the bomb is detonated, the plane could be given over to remote control, and landed safely at a government installation. Only if the remote control was hijacked would the bomb be detonated. Hell give me liberty or give me death, right?

As long as Obama is President and the Progressives in power this will likely happen with full support from the MSM and Hollywood. If a Republican or Bush were still President we would have mass protests with things as they are now. The MSM and Hollywood would be all over it.
