Former Arkansas governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee still is mulling over another run at the White House.

In an interview with WHO radio in Des Moines, Iowa, Huckabee would not discount the possibility of another presidential run — but added he would need evidence of a clear path to victory before jumping into the GOP race.

"I'm not ruling it out. And that's not a yes, but it's definitely not a no," Huckabee told WHO's Steve Deace (http://www.whoradio.com/cc-common/mediaplayer/player.html?redir=yes&mps=deace.php&mid=http%3A%2F%2Fa1135.g.akamai.net%2Ff%2F1135%2F1 8227%2F1h%2Fcchannel.download.akamai.com%2F18227%2 Fpodcast%2FDESMOINES-IA%2FWHO-AM%2Fhuckabee+podcast+111610.mp3%3FCPROG%3DP).

"The honest answer is: I'm keeping it open as an option; I'm looking at whether or not there's a pathway to victory," he added. "As I've told several people, I'm not jumping into a pool when there's no water in it."

I heard that interview the other day on the way home from work. It definitely sounded more like a yes than a no.

Well, we should probably alert the environmentalists to equip all the ducks geese this year with Huckabee bumper stickers for their protection.

As for the fear he'll bag a significant number of voters, forget about it.

I was telling people all along Huck was running again. But some people were like "Noooo...he's got a radio show and a TV show. He's not going to give that up to run for president".

Anyway, that's good. Sarah Palin's going to run. Huck and Palin will split the same voters.

I don't think polls will show that Huck can win. He knows he can't. He will get the evangelical vote and that's about it. Republicans will not get excited about him.

A candidate needs independents to win and Huck cannot draw the independents in. If Huck wins, say hello to an Obama 2nd term.

He is either doing one of 3 things:

1- Trying to be VP
2- Trying to spread his message of morality (similar to Ron's message of limited-government)
3- Trying to establish a network/movement that will outlast his campaign (similar to Ron and the CFL)

Everyone has to vote Huckster. Voting for Huckabee is just as voting for Jesus during the resurrection.

If Huckabee runs, I really hope more than ever Sarah Palin runs as well.
The two would easily split the social con vote. Romney and Gingrich will also split their votes.

The Ron Paul faithful have very little overlap with these people, and will vote for Ron no matter what, so you don't have to worry about Ron Paul splitting votes with anyone.

I really think with a Palin/Huckabee/Romney/Gingrich lineup, the vote will really get split enough for the winner to garner under 20% of the total vote. I say if ONE more contender throws his hat into the ring (say, a Chris Christie) and takes a few votes away from all four of the above, that brings the margin of victory even lower.

If we can get the winning percentage closer to 15%, Ron Paul winning isn't entirely out of the realm of possibilities....

Considering Obama's current polls and the ongoing effort to alienate and disenfranchise every last supporter, I think the Republicans could run Betty White and probably win.

These are just politicians who sense blood and the opportunity for power.

If they're smart (and we all know better, don't we?) they'll combine from the start and offer themselves as running mates all along. If they are what they eat, then they can call themselves The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.
