The more they push the less IP I buy. Same goes with a lot of other people, the industry is just making enemies and shooting themselves in the foot.

Basically the government will be able to shut down any website and censor the internet.

The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act will provide the Department of Justice with tools to track and shut down websites devoted to providing access to unauthorized downloads, streaming, or sale of copyrighted content and counterfeit goods.

And here I thought this might have something to do with Somalia....

Well, then, we should enjoy our remaining time together.

First thing that needs to be done is scan all their office and personal computers for copyrighted material, as well as all their family members. In particular those with children.

Could it be any more clear who controls the US Congress? Answer: special interests, e.g. agribusiness with S. 510, the pharmaceutical industry, media corporations with the DMCA and The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act, etc. Politicians are simply spokesmen for special interests, i.e. special interests have representation, but the majority of people unaffiliated with those special interests do not. So, what do we, the people, do when we have no representation in the US Congress?
