Will also be holding elections in 2011. Some one from the forums lives down south. Get your name on the ballot and we will help you get elected.

The 2011 elections are for state legislature and Governor only. No federal races....we think the state legislature races are a prime opportunity. If you're interested, let us know.

Interesting. A few questions if you don't mind. First, how might you be able to help? Info, financial, etc.? Could you give me any general info on job requirements for the state legislature (like how often they meet, financial compensation, etc.)? Age for state legislatures. I only ask so many questions because i one day want to run but currently I have a lot of ifs. If the stars align just right I would certainly consider running.

See: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=298

We are preparing to set up a fund raising vehicle to elect Ron Paul-minded candidates to state legislatures. There are only four states electing in 2011, and so we will be focused on those four.

As far as requirements: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_House_of_Representatives

To qualify as a member of the house candidates must (a) be at least 21 years old, (b) have been a resident of Mississippi for at least four years, and (c) have resided in the district in which he/she is running for at least two years (Art. 4, Sec. 41, Secs. 44 and 45).

The Constitution also specifies that the legislature shall meet for 125 days every four years and 90 days in all other years (Art 4, Sec. 36).

Legislator compensation is $10,000 as of 2007.

I probably can't get elected to the legislature, so I might as well run for governor. What do y'all think? The deadline for filing is March 1st, lol. It's an omen, I am destined to win.. It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!
