If I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. A warning about Fluoride injestion in humans? I thought it was nutritive? I thought it made a body good?

How much longer are we going to pass off pseudo-science and 1920's health reasoning as modern thought?

Tell this to my local water company, who just proudly announced that they have begun dosing the supply with flouride.

Except that's not what the CDC article actually says:

CDC will continue to assess the science regarding the use of fluoride in preventing tooth decay while limiting enamel fluorosis, and will modify its recommendations as warranted. CDC believes that community water fluoridation is safe and healthy and promotes its use for people of all ages.

Look if you're going to make an argument - any argument - don't lie to make your point. This only makes me less likely to trust you.

But is it safe to have your dentist topically apply it to your teeth, because that's what I've always done and you don't ingest the fluoride.

This is the only safe way to do it, infact.
