Why weren't we given a chance to reduce spending on welfare programs? That would seem like one of the most obvious choices for a place to cut.

We weren't given a choice to cut ALL foreign aid, either, or to fully withdraw all troops from Iraqhanistan or close all foreing military bases.

I guess this was supposed to be "reality based"...

That was a good survey, took the middle of the road approach on a lot of issues. I ended up solving the deficit with 86% of savings coming from cutting spending and 14% from "raising taxes." I put raised taxes in quotes because I chose one of the options toward the end which actually lowered income tax rates but closed loopholes, ending up saving the government some money. Don't know how that counts as raising taxes but oh well.

It is absolutely unlibertrarian to raise any taxes.
