Dr. Dan D'Amico, an economist in the austrian tradition from Loyola University New Orleans, talks public choice economics and the problems posed by the rampant year over year increases in incarceration rates in the U.S. and other developed countries. His search for solutions brought him to ancient Greece, and the insights he found therein are explained in this lecture.

D'Amico came to speak to our YAL group recently, this is the lecture he gave. He's a very bright guy, but also not of the boring "Let me sit here and read my paper word for word" type lecturer. Very interesting lecture.
