Wow, 97% opposed, huh?

30,988 votes is a lot! and 97%, 29,926 I won't fly votes is a landslide.

It will be really interesting to see if this is at all accurate or how much it represents "go vote in this poll" posts in activist forms. I think I saw another that was something like 65% against.

Any bets on how many airlines will be driven out of business after the Thanksgiving / Christmas travel season by these new security measures?

Used to pick up 100K+ status miles before every frequent flyer renewal - not since 2002. The suck factor is too high.

That was unexpected. Really.

To me anyway.

I wont fly anymore now. It sucks but i wont except a scanner or even a pat down. If we dont make a stand here this will be going on in stadiums, bus stations, train stations and even schools, bars, and night clubs.

Unfortunately the airline industry will be brought to its knees due to government invtervention in this private sector of the economy.

I was happy that the poll was at 97% I just hope our of those 97% that at least 10% of them stop flying alltogether.

A longshot, but you may consider leaving the country from Canada, Mexico, or the Islands. It would also make you appear to be an international man of mystery.

Seriously?
Zero.
Bailouts, anyone?
The airlines aren't going out of business until they drag everyone else down with them, as a result of their freshly-printed funny money inflating every industry in this country out of existence simultaneously.

Well, every industry except the porn. They'll always figure something out.
(I wonder if TSA-grope.com is registered yet....)

That's right.

If the TSA instituted """""""""voluntary"""""""" pre-flight raping to every man woman and child, and enough people refused to be raped, the federal government would just bail out the airlines, and institute a road tax to pay for the airline industry to fly empty planes across America.

My point is, consumers will have to be the ones to change things, because the gov, and the socialists, have no limit.

Actually, I'm guessing they'll be given "too big to fail" status, and the government will absorb most of the major airlines just as General Motors was absorbed.

Welcome to Government Airways. Please remove all your clothing, assume the position, and prepare for your pre-boarding Safety Search. Remember, any movements prior to or during your search will be considered an aggressive act and make the searchee subject to tasing and other measures of pacification.

Enjoy your flight, and thank you for flying Government Airways!
