Lou Dobbs joins former rival Fox
By Aaron Smith, staff writer November 10, 2010: 2:37 PM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Lou Dobbs has joined up with Fox Business News, the network announced Wednesday, exactly one year after the anchor left his former employer, CNN.

Dobbs has signed a "multi-year" contract with Fox (NWS, Fortune 500), according to the Network.

"Dobbs will develop and host a new daily program premiering in the first quarter of 2011," said Fox, in a press release. "He will also make appearances across a variety of FBN programs to provide analysis and commentary on business news of the day."...

Dobbs has always been one of my favorite. Hes nothing compared to the Judge. But hes waaay better than Glenn Beck.

This makes sense. I'm surprised he didn't move back when Beck did.

Chances of him running for Senate in 2012???

Is there any database where you can see where on-air personalities went to college? I know Lou is a Harvard man...

looks like we'll have to endure further anti-free trade and protectionist statements....bleh.

This will become louder as China gains more clout. Argentina pretty much went through the same cycle as it spent its way into debt and poverty.

As a Fox News commentator, does that automatically make him a potential Republican candidate for President in 2012? Hah

notice that he moved exactly 1 year after? that suggests that his contract made him wait a year before signing somewhere else - somewhat standard.

I would like to see Lou Dobbs and John Stossel debate trade policy and immigration policy. Neither has been particularly eloquent in expressing their points of view but now that they are colleagues they could take all the time they need to get their positions clearly stated and all the time they need for rebuttal.

Isn't Dobbs a trade Restrictionist?

If so, I wouldn't say he's very market-friendly.

Maybe special-interest-business friendly.

I see a few people on here like him and look forward to his show... why?

Fox, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and all the others work for the same team.
Don't get fooled by this fake 'rivalry'.

Dobbs was very friendly to Ron Paul during the 2008 election cycle, and is known to be pretty independent-minded. That said, I'd have to do a little more digging to tell you where he actually stands on certain issues. Maybe some other forum members have more insight there than I do.

The Total Valuation of "Chalk-White Veneers" just went up $20,000 at FOX NEWS.

Frankly, most of these MSM Morons get their education from forums like this. I thought Lou was whitening his Ivories for a run with Palin.

Merry-Go-Round... and these hacks always seem to pull the Brass Rings in the form of millions.

Where did Rick Sanchez go? Will he be at Fox also?
