Of COURSE the majority of Christian libertarians are...so are the majority of gay libertarians (Justin Raimondo, just to name one), so are the majority of white libertarians, black libertarians, etc.

Good point. Huge skeletons for someone in such a role kinda makes all sordid details important.

Besides, any self-appointed moral leader should be held to a high standard. Now one might be tempted to argue that only religious leaders assume that role, but I would disagree. Any politician running for office who supports any laws against consensual crimes automatically implies that he is a superior moral leader (role model). So it goes to credibility/hypocrisy.

There are also loud voices of liberty coming from black libertarians, Jewish libertarians and gay libertarians...

There just happen to be fewer of some of these groups within the libertarian movement because other movement happen to promise specific things for those groups and pretend to cater to the needs of minority groups. It is also related to their social environment, many places it is socially reprehensible to be a Republican. Many people are more concerned about their social life than politics.
