When you digg an article from its digg link, as you have linked us to, each digg has less of an impact on it's making it to the front page, as opposed to digging it from the source page itself. This is because digg is supposed to be based around people sort of finding articles around the web and digging them, not having people see a link is on digg and digg it without ever reading the actual page it links to. For future reference, it's better to link to the source page and let people find the digg button themselves and click it. http://thisnovember5th.com/

Sorry if I just used the word digg a bit too much.

We already have over $370,000 pledged for that day (as of 12:15 AM) with only 3 days in! This is just getting started!

People! Copy and paste the link into your browser. I think that the digg algorithm has changed and they are devaluing diggs that come from massive traffic due to a few sites.

This article has over 1,000 diggs and still isn't on the front page!

From now on lets put links like this...

example: http://www.digg .com

tell the users to join the .com after pasting it in the browser.

Anonymize the link: http://www.gulli.com/english/anonym-to/

Bachtung has the better idea. Anonymize it!

Bachtung, can you make a thread about this and see if we could get it stickied. I could easily do it...but you deserve the credit. This is an important grassroots issue and will help us in online polls...they will no longer be able to say that their poll votes are flooding in from a few RP websites.

I've brought it up before; I don't care who gets credit for it. There is a better way to do it on this website, though, and that is for the Admins to insert the code from the site that would automatically anonymize all links posted in messages on this forum.

An anonymizing code might mess up their AdSense traffic though. LOL

It allows you to exempt specified links and domains.
