Co-Opting of Mitch.

McConnell voted for TARP, the Patriot Act, etc. I'll believe that he believes what he's saying when he talks with his votes.

So is Canter. The media keeps saying how 'it isn't a revenue problem it is a spending problem' was the slogan all over the talk shows last weekend. Ron said it a lot, but McConnell and Canter directly stole it from Rand.

The fact that they are copying Rand's talking point is a good thing. Ultimately, what we care about is that they all follow through and drastically reduce spending. I'm more than ready for them to start talking about eliminating entire federal agencies and numerous ones and then DO it.

"Hey, all these guys are starting to sound like Ron and Rand Paul."

I see that as a good thing, as long as we hold them accountable to their words through their voting.

I hate the word steal. You can't steal an idea -- you can emulate an idea however. Sorry, just being nitpicky.

While I'm semi-disappointed that the establishment GOP is using our message to get themselves re-elected (and then proceeding to still vote pro-big gov't), I think this is a good sign for our movement.

In the past 2 years, our oft-ignored concerns have become GOP concerns and now national concerns.

If they feel like they must use our message, that means our message is popular

We are co-opting them!

Sorry Trent Lott

Is Senator McConnell saying he wants to ban earmarks?

Now the momentum has totally shifted, and Rand not being able to be co-opted but becoming a very good orator and politician is adding up to something that the establishment cannot attack!

He comes off WAY TOO RELAXED and every day American to call extremist. Haha, you think you can Co-Opt truly principled freedom fighters? You're the one that has to change!! I LOVE IT!!!
