Does anyone think the Military Industrial Complex is/has been exploiting the political atmosphere by using propaganda to make "Conservatives" think we HAVE to cut only domestic spending? You always hear ads and stuff talking about Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid and Unemployment. WHERE are the commercials about foreign spending, expensive wars, useless bases around the world, etc etc???

Social Security and Medicare are ticking time bombs in relation to the budget, but I understand what you're talking about. The reason why defense cuts aren't popular because our fearsome military is about the only thing keeping this country from being physically stripped, if the bond vigilantes don't have their way. LOL Who in their right mind is going to attempt to collect our debt if we default? Isn't the U.S. Navy the third largest air force in the world?
