You know what I adore about Ron Paul?

You can play an excerpt of him espousing his political philosophy over twenty years ago, then play another clip of him speaking today, and you'll hear almost precisely the same message in both clips.

Not that it's a bad thing to change one's mind, of course (says the recovering liberal), but you can always tell the difference between someone who has slowly evolved his or her ideas over time, and a shrewd politician who simply disavows his or her previous position(s) for the sake of political popularity.
