Can anyone tell me the number of registered republicans in Texas in 2004? Looking for data to show how stupid a recent poll is. Thanks.

Thanks, I had already found that. I'm looking for the number of registered Republicans only.

Texas is an open primary state, there is no registering party affiliation. You just show up on primary day and chose the which ballot you want (either Republican or Democrat). Therefore the people that voted in the primary are the ones that are considered Republican primary voters.
