I saw that and turned off the TV when he didn't mention Ron Paul's name. It's terrible! He mentioned EVERYBODY (including Brownback - who isn't even running anymore) except Ron Paul. *fires e-mail*

HARDBALL IS THE ENEMY TODAY. Listed the 'tiers' by name of all but Ron, said it'd be a 'great service to America' if the media would 'START' excluding all but the darling socialists, and by name called Ron Paul a freeloader! Oh and 'Rudy needs to take RP to every debate because Ron always speaks the libertarian side and just hands Giuliani an alley-oop by asking if he forgot about 9/11.'

When are you guys gonna realize that Olbermann doesnt want to promote ANY republican he feels has a chance at beating his goddess Hillary?

Im constantly amazed at the fact that some of you are so shocked that he does this.

Im just suprised b/c he claims to be so pro-civil liberties which Hitlery is not and many liberals are converting to Paul b/c of it and rightly....he could atleats give him a nod.....Nope, its total blackout........Its just angers me....i wrote him......I think we are doing a good job at keeping the media a little more accountable than usual.

I'm more than mad--if I ever meet Matthews, I'm taking the sovereignty of his body and deeming him unworthy of the right to live.

I'm with Mike. I don't know why you guys expect better from Olberman. He's never going to mention RP.

The question is...why do y'all still watch him now that you KNOW what a shill he is?

You’ve got to be pretty fucking stupid not to cover the biggest political movement in the last 100 years.

Nobody is that stupid. Which can only mean that the blackout continues and it is coming down from on high.

Don’t expect it to change either. No amount of email is going to change it if it hasn’t changed by now.

By all means if you feel so inclined to write, please do. But IMO there is only one way, and that is to win.

It's not from on high. Olbermann is deathly afraid that people knowing about Dr. Paul will take votes away from Hitlary. He knows that the Democrats are political opportunists that have hitched their wagon to the Iraq War debacle and the Patriot Act. Both of which Hillary voted for, BTW.
If he lets the cat out of the bag, your average anti-war person is going to vote for Paul over Hillary.

Yea, MSNBC is the major RP outlet in the mass media. The name recognition is good, although they won't lay off the "isolationist" word and some other minor stuff to make Rudy look more appealing. Tucker is an ally in RP's pocket and we all know it.

You guys realize that it's all Party politics. Republicans want to beat Dems at their own game for some baffling reason, and Dems want the worst possible GOP candidate to win so that the Dem nominee becomes President.

For the record, just because MSNBC covers RP more than the others doesn't mean they're covering him enough. Huckabee gets way more coverage. We won't have justice until we get whole 10 minute segments with pundits talking about Ron like they do with Hillary and Rudy.

I refuse to watch MSNBC anymore. I was one of the people that helped Olbermann get the ratings that he saw surge ahead in the past few months, but no more can he rely on my support as a customer to MSNBC. They lack of coverage of Ron Paul is coming from the top obviously, if they don't want our viewership then we should boycott and ignore them. If we want to watch them: one person should place it on youtube.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that they act like RP doesn't exist on purpose. When there is a story on him, there's always some misinformation given. I get the sense from watching tonights news, which I don't do very often anymore, that the TV and radio hosts are so stuck one format, that they can't break free. Bashing each other, the libs against the neo-cons, where Ron Paul is just a sideshow. Their minds are so stuck on their own ideologies, that it is not possible for them to transcend beyond their current belief system. Introduce a variable like Ron Paul, and he just gets the cold shoulder. They are not capable of analyzing such a variable, with any degree of fairness. It was like an epiphany for me. A moment of clarity where I recognized the true nature of the mainstream media.

You and me both. Olbermann is a progressive socialist. There's absolutely nothing in his agenda that's about freedom, unless it's a Bush bash. He is not, not will he ever, be on our side.

If he covers Ron Paul, it will be a hit piece. A HUGE slandering propoganda item.

When the Frost family / SCHIP brouhaha erupted, he spent 5 minutes railing against the Republicans who were "picking" on the family. He never said anything implying that the accusations were or were not true - he just had a tantrum because some bloggers dared question the phrase "need."

I wish he had stayed in sports. He was at least funny then.

I totally agree. I'm sure MSNBC notices a bump in their ratings when they mention Ron Paul. I think we're a large enough group to have an effect. Let's use our power. They will be begging for Ron as he gains in those antiquated polls. They sure are pushing Huckabee and McCain.

Correction. He is a shill for the NWO, just like the bulk of the MSM and the more prominent "conservative" talk show hosts. He wants a globalist vs globalist race, so either way they win.

In large part national politics is a lot like professional wrestling - it looks real, but in reality the two combatants are working for the same team and someone behind the scenes is pulling the strings. The Paul campaign is changing all of that and the men behind the curtain are getting scared.

I did not see Hardball tonight, but I'm reading what you all are saying about it, I'm a bit confused... I heard Matthews tell Paul in and after debate interview that he (matthews) dare not say he agrees with what paul was saying. I got the impression matthews was a "closet" rp fan... perhaps not.

ah well, can't we just get ONE stand up media personality to stand up 100% and out in the open for RP? jeesh

I do not think that journalists should choose favorites. I think they should be tough and critical on all of them.

But that's just crazy talk, I guess.

sure, for pure jounalism for sure, but, most of these shows are totally opinion driven don't you think so? I think pure objectivity has gone out the window for these type of shows, heck, they sure do spend a lot of time telling us who they DESPISE, don't they. lol

Countdown is their #1 rated prime time show, , NO Paul is NO accident. He's never been mentioned on it, EVER. This is one of those "media conspiracies" that I'd bet big $ on.. :)

Of course, start pointing fingers at them enough, they just might break down and cover him.

It's to their benefit to continue to portray the Republicans as one single monolithic vast right-wing conspiracy-- plays to their audience's prejudices.
