The left is trying to build up both that Rand will do it (he most certainly has NOT discussed tactics with those knuckleheads) and what the consequence would be because the left REALLY wants to get rid of the filibuster now. In the lame duck session. And they are trying to convince Senators who don't want to get rid of it.

Fact is, raising the debt limit usually happens by voice vote. 60 votes can overcome a filibuster. If the debt limit isn't raised due to filibuster, it means there are 41 votes supporting the filibuster, not just Rand's. Which is pretty unlikely, except in matters where you would expect to have a close vote.
