America's largest pro-Israel lobby group on Wednesday hailed the results of midterm elections in the U.S. which saw staunch supporters re-elected to Congress on both sides of the party political divide.

At my Republican caucuses this spring, there was a platform proposal to end all foreign aid, including Israel. It was overwhelmingly rejected. Just a handful of us supported it. I was kind of shocked. The nation is going broke, but we can afford foreign aid, which in many cases is just another corporate subsidy.

AIPAC lost in the KY Senate race.

The following month, he (Rand Paul) met with officials from the powerful lobbying group AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee), which has frequently clashed with Ron Paul over what the group views as his insufficient support of Israel. Paul, according to one person familiar with the AIPAC meeting, "told them what they wanted to hear: 'I'm more reasonable than my father on the things you care about.' He was very solicitous."

This is all fine. The Islamic militants are getting what they want, to bankrupt America. They don't even have to work very hard at it anymore. Just pick off a church or something every now and again to get us feeling righteous about our cause. Sit back and watch America implode.

That one hurts.

I know. :(

That's why I didn't bring it up much before the election.

His support for Israel is pretty lukewarm.

Hopefully he really just told them what they wanted to hear and will go after them. He's already admitted he only wants to run 1 term. So, SCREW ISRAEL... let 'er rip!

Rand doesn't plan to run reelection?

Not even once?

Not even once?

Six years of that would be enough for most .

Rand came out, guns blazing, against the Fed...depending on his votes while in office, it might be best to just expect one term and do the right thing, rather than two lukewarm terms. I'm sure that he'll know in a year or two whether or not Kentucky will defend him.

If that's his thinking, I approve.
