The important thing is that at least in NH, he has erected a big tent (GOP comittee speak :D ) and isn't just drawing off of the same traditional Libertarian base. Bringing new people in is important. Even if its a fifth of one percent.

Considering that the GOP typically has 5-15% African-American support, 22 is pretty big

It shows solid gains. First the detractors said, "He isn't even registering in the polls." ....then "only 1 or2 percent" ...then "3" ....then "4"...now they have to say nationally "5" and in NH it is "6"

Its creeping upwards....in a few weeks I imagine they will be saying...."He barely gets 15% in the polls."

Then when the GOP starts noticing gains in constituencies that barely supported republican candidates before.....
