We have a significant opportunity to improve the Senate GOP through some primaries. Here is a list of potential targets for primaries — the Senate Republicans up for re-election in 2012:

John Barasso (WY)
Scott Brown (MA)
Bob Corker (TN)
John Ensign (NV)
Orrin Hatch (UT)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX)
Jon Kyl (AZ)
Richard Lugar (IN)
Olympia Snowe (ME)
Roger Wicker (MS)

Medina in Texas
Hostettler in Indiana

We've learned from our mistakes this last cycle; lets not repeat them this time.

Does anyone have a list of house races that are contestable? There are quite a few local groups that could much more effectively win a house race.

Every House race is up again in two years, of course....I think we should really sit down, look at tonight's election results, and put down a game plan for 2012 as far as what districts we should target.

This is very tough, however, when you consider that the districts will be redrawn next year, so 2012 districts are difficult to project.

Scott Brown (MA) -> Goes D if you primary him.
Olympia Snowe (ME) -> Goes D if you primary her.

Why waste time/money on those two races?

The argument later in the article linked is to primary in the red states, as you suggest.
