Sometimes they do that based on exit polling, or which precincts have reported.
There is an election here in Utah where one guy is up 10% and they are saying too close to call because the areas that have not reported are strong GOP areas.

All I see of the major lib areas left to report is SLO. Are there that many people living around there?

why? are places that have not reported expected to be big wins for boxer?

SLO not very liberal imo

There is a big university there, but it's big in agriculture and engineering and architecture..

Riverside is a tough call, I think it's kinda conservative..

Riverside is pretty conservative.

From http://www.voteinfo.net/eresults/58/Election%20Result.htm (which is Riverside's voting site) the results so far are 37.45% for Boxer and 56.19% for Fiorina.

smart. She's still going to lose though.

Good. Carly is not the kind of Republican we want to reward with victory.

And California needs to hit rock bottom before it snaps out of its Democrat worship cult mentality.

If Carly or Meg had won, it would be harder for the new GOP congress to laugh in California's face upon receiving their next letter begging for federal aid.

Fiorina 47.5
Boxer 46.8

However, it probably won't REMAIN with Fiorina as the leader... too funny!

Don't care about Fiorina, but it would be really nice to unseat Boxer after all these years.
