I was going to write this last night, but I didn't wanna jinx anything... :D

Wow!

What a campaign! What a race! What a finish!

If history is recorded accurately, it will never say that we did nothing.

This campaign victory is the culmination of the efforts of, in best estimation, AT LEAST a couple of millions of people, once again proving that "many hands make light work".

And, of course, most everyone loves to win...but the "underdog" win is usually the most special. :)

"Our job" doesn't end here, though.

Yes, the initial odds were beaten. Yes, the pundits were proven wrong. Yes, the "establishment" has a big ostrich egg running down its face (which, to me, is no small joy ;) ).

But step back for a minute and think about the numbers.

Whatever the margin of victory happens to be, there are still a LOT of people that think socialist/communist/collectivist ideals are worthy of consideration.

If I'm going to ask one thing of ANYONE in this movement, it's this: please be kind to "our" opponents during the forthcoming victory celebration. Do not rub their noses in their own messy puddles. (I certainly realize that this can be quite difficult at times, but I liken that nonsense to dealing with spoiled children...firm stance, but always kind.)

Actually, with this victory, we all have an opportunity to show that [insert prefix-laden libertarian labels here]...we...can be very kind and very generous.

I urge you all to advantage of that opportunity. :)
