He came off as articulate, intelligent, thoughtful and patriotic.

Or, in a word, Presidential.

Rand is the big news in the senate tonight. He is the teaparty candidate that stands out. It looks like all the others are going down with the exception of Lee. Miller might make it but it appears any teaparty candidate that was barely leading is going down.

I think Angle will prevail by a fingernail. Toomey has got Pennsylvania based on the counties remaining. Buck is done. Miller could win thanks to the three way race.

Rubio?

Rubio was speaker of the state house, he's not really tea party he is more like a conservative version of Scott Brown -- he was the preferable candidate, rather than OF the tea party. He's winning by 20 points.

TIME is already raggin' on Rand for misquoting Jefferson in his victory speech. "That government is best which governs least." though often attributed to TJ, is actually from Henry David Thoreau, as they snidely point out.

Are we sure Thoreau didn't get it from Jefferson?

I say he did. :p

I thought it was Jefferson, too. Even if he wasn't the first to say it, I'm sure TJ said it more than once.

Well, yeah, that, given that THE man runs in '12 and doesn't quite make it. Otherwise, (big otherwise, I know) we just elect Rand in '20, after THE man's two terms are up.

sounds like a plan?

Yeah, but I'm not sure I'd wish two terms on Ron.

I'd vote for two terms of Ron, two terms of Rand, and two terms of Amash whether they liked it or not.

I'm not sure I'd wish two terms on Carol.
