Here's the simple and easy plan for raising the bare minimum $12 million (plus a lot more) for Ron Paul.

According to polling, there are about 55 million registered Republicans in America (http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/columnist/neuharth/2004-01-22-neuharth_x.htm).

According to polling amongst Republicans, Ron Paul has about 2-4% (the rare poll puts him at 1% and the rare poll also puts him at 5%, so 2-4 is a safe assumption). This means that there are likely between 1.1 million to 2.2 million Ron Paul supporters in the GOP today. We'll take the more conservative of the two estimates and say that there are actually only 1.1 million Paulites.

How much would each Paulite have to contribute to get the bare $12 million minimum?

$12,000,000 / 1,100,000
=
$10.90

Hardly a budget buster.

If every person who professes to support Ron Paul simply donated ten dollars and ninety cents (regardless of whether or not you've contributed to the campaign in previous fundraising quarters, but of course excepting those who've maxed out the contribution limit), Dr. Paul would have the $12 million he needs.

Of course, there will be those who donate immensely more than $10.90 as well, which makes the potential for fundraising much much higher.

We need to focus on each person achieving the small, individual, manageable goals that, when put all together, will actually get Ron Paul the Republican nomination.

$10.90 per person is the magic number. Spread the word.

And, of course, if you want to chip in a little bit more, that'd be fine too. ;)
