At 8:00am I was the 162nd voter; polls opened at 6:30 a.m. Of course, 2008 was a completely different story. A check of the trash can on the way out would suggest that a large number of people had taken the conservative ‘voting guide’ that was offered outside the polling place. Not exactly scientific, I know, but you deal with the tea leaves that are available, right?”

NC-4 update: HUGE line at my polling place in Durham. At 7:50, easily vastly bigger than 2008 (when I walked right in). Today I had to wait about 30 minutes. When I left, the line was down the street. A lot of people took BJ Lawson / Republican slates, but a lot also took David Price cards. Amazing turnout. Price must be pretty nervous. Four Democrat electioneers to one GOP.
