Ok, so the 6 PM and 7 PM closing times are done now.

I'm going to take a break (I'm at work and I'm not trying to get fired). If you see any candidates in the 6/7 PM states that I missed, feel free to post them. I'll hopefully have the 7:30/8 PM states done by this afternoon.

Actually instead of trying to post all the candidates just post SOS links. I believe you are going to start running into some controversy because not all members are supporting the same candidates.

I am posting candidates who are either (A) RLC endorsed, (B) Ron Paul endorsed, or (C) Libertarian/Independent who are favorable to us. I realize that all forum members will not care about all candidates....however, it helps to have a compiled list of candidates going forward, in order to track the voting records of the"liberty-oriented" candidates who win tonight.

Plus, we have about 5-6 forum members that I know of who are up for election tonight, and I think it's very important to highlight those folks.

As former chair and co-founder of the RLC in Indiana and resident of NW Indiana, I personally know both William Johnson and Shawn Olson. These guys are great and deserve our votes!

Tim Huelskamp is Ron Paul-endorsed (R) for Kansas' 1st Congressional district.

Doesn't matter who his opponent is, that district is the western half (plus some) of the state, mostly rural (no cities over 40k), and staunchly Republican.

In Texas in my county alone there are too many to list that you could add, so here is the link to the web page races with (L) in just about every race. I don't know if you are only listing those that may have a chance of winning or trying to get all of them but likely all of them here will not win.

I am really excited about the Senate. There are 4-5 candidates who have been a bit skeptical of neoconny positions that can win tonight: Ken Buck, Joe Miller, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee. John Raese in West Virginia may slide in if turnout is great for Republicans.

In the House the two I know who are on our side ideologically who are likely to get in are Mick Mulvaney (SC-05) and Justin Amash. I am really hoping for a BJ win.

PS. Also you have Jerry Patterson down for Ag Commissioner in TX, however I do not even see him on the ballot.
He is running for Land Commissioner. Ag Commissioner is where we should have been able to vote for Kinky Friedman but can't because the Democrats decided to support a guy with no clear path to victory.

Oregon sure doesn't look good. We'll see if Art Robinson can successfully swim against the Democratic tide.

Robinson currently ahead with 2.5% reporting.

DeFazio currently ahead at 52%

59% reporting ... currently looks like DeFazio will win this race

Fiorina still ahead with 2.5% reporting.

At this point, I've simply got to reiterate that this night is headed for some sort of political record.

Fiorina still ahead with 2.5% reporting.

Rural California + Orange County + San Diego County are quite conservative - it matters where the votes are coming from.

(Exit polls show Boxer up 10).

I know. It's still funny to see Boxer behind ... We'll have to wait and see if Californians are beginning to awaken along with the rest of the country. Let's see how close those exit polls were at the end of the day.

As of 11:55 pm in New York, with 51% of the vote in, Warren Redlich is at 26,681 votes (see source).

IF the tally is accurate, and IF it holds, the math says by the time 100% the
votes are tallied, Warren should have about 53,500 votes.

The LP in NY has apparently acquired permanent ballot status. Congratulations, NYers. Thanks to Palladino, for being so unappealing.

Wrong! Fiorina currently in the LEAD with 20% reporting

Fiorina 47.5
Boxer 46.8

However, it probably won't REMAIN with Fiorina as the leader... too funny!

The Ron Paul caucus is now 8 House members and 3 Senators, and counting (Ken Buck? Joe Miller?).

Keep an eye on John Koster in WA-2, who is in a dead heat with his opponent. Koster has been endorsed by Ron Paul, Clint Didier, and Gun Owners of America.

Also a race worth watching is Morgan Philpot in UT-2, who is currently down about 5% with 50% of the votes in.

I'm going to start going through the election results and figuring out which of our guys came out on top from this list. Should be able to get that done by tomorrow. I'll make a thread with the results.

Then, we re-evaluate and re-load for 2012. :)

An amazing night and highly effective volley at the federal government. The main characteristic identifying this election is the depth of the outrage from the federal down to the state and local levels. Look at the changes in governorships and state houses as well as the federal government. We need to do a similar feat in 2012 and cleanse more of the Republican party ... unbelievable! :)

Tim Huelskamp is Ron Paul-endorsed (R) for Kansas' 1st Congressional district.

Doesn't matter who his opponent is, that district is the western half (plus some) of the state, mostly rural (no cities over 40k), and staunchly Republican.

Yep. He's now my representative. You'll probably see a few votes that are about 432-3 with Huelskamp and Amash voting "no" with Ron.

I vetted Huelskamp a while back and he was a Huckabee guy in 2008, and is definitely not perfect....but he's certainly on my list for the "Ron Paul caucus."

He'll probably be similar to Demint or Coburn, so if you like those guys, you'll like Tim. If you don't like those guys, then you won't like him. Also, by the time the Republican caucus in Kansas came around, Ron Paul really didn't have any chance to win at all. Huckabee was really the only candidate with any chance at all to beat McCain. Tim may have just thought that a vote for Ron was a wasted vote. He did put on his website this year that he was proud to get Ron's endorsement. I think that Tim is much more of a limited government conservative than Huckabee.
