Say what you want about Beck, but his viewers are easily more informed. They at least read. :D I never see Stewart or Colbert pumping books into the NY Times Top 10.

They have authors on their shows all the time, more so than any other kind of guest. They just don't tell their audiences directly which books to buy.

You guys should back off a little. The average person isn't a Ron Paul / Peter Schiff junkie....

To call them economic retards really turns people off to our movement.

I posted this on Facebook and people started posting comments about how either I was an idiot for thinking Obama was a Kenyan. One person then said "lol, wow those people in the video are idiots, Obama is totally from Kenya, theres so much proof"

The irony is reaching breaking levels.

Daily Show viewers are arrogant tools that think they're intellectuals because they listen to shitty comedians whose writers sold out to the state. Though the people who made this video could have interviewed hundreds of people and simply chosen a couple of retards, I know several people who attended the rally and they wouldn't have have known what Keynesian economics was.

The problem here isn't that these people didn't know who Kenyes was. The problem is that they were pompous enough to think they knew what Kenyesianism was.

I don't think we can truly answer this question until Obama produces an actual birth certificate proving that he was not, in fact, born inside of John Maynard Keynes.

best comment from youtube.

Funny a guy asked me this morning if I was against California becoming Keynesian because I wasn't happy the new simple majority budget proposition passed. My reply was that it can't become Keynesian, because California can't print or borrow money.

I could make a similar video with the same effect at any rally for any event supporting any person or cause. I find it kind of stupid some people would look at these gimmicky things as having real significance. Its a joke. Its entertainment. You turn the joke on yourself when you interpret it as if its a statistical sample.

You have to admit that it was a funny video lol .
Nothing to take seriously ofcourse......lest we really want to believe, as is selectively broadcasted all over the world, that Americans are stupid, such as believing that Obama is a Muslim etc. etc.

Most important point: Yes!, I do personally believe that Jon Stewart's audience (and that includes many if not most of us Paultards and Libertarians) are slightly high up on the "Faculty to Use one's Reasoning Ability" mindset than Beck, Savage, Limbaugh, Faux News, Sean p diddy Hannity etc....

Infact Canada had a late night show's segment named after us: "Talking to Americans":mad: As if those cherry picked people and edited video clips were somehow a representative cross section of this country. An entire industry revolves around the stereotyped "stupid American", and ironically those who truly believe that Americans are any different from any other people of the World or take such shows seriously would themselves be ...well dumb.

well on the rational side i agree

it's always a constant struggle for me between patiently educating someone on economics and just turning around and calling someone a f*ing idiot.

The angry woman in that video called Americans stupid if they believe Obama is from Kenya, and yet, she could not even make the distinction between a Keynesian and a Kenyan. Talk about irony. [lol]
