MASON CITY - U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, brought his conservative message to an enthusiastic crowd of about 80 at the Rose Bowl on Friday.

He spoke without notes for more than 30 minutes on how the federal government is out of control - and both Republicans and Democrats are at fault.
"Before I vote on any bill, I ask - is it a power expressly given (in the Constitution) to the federal government? If it isn't, I vote no," he said.
