Personally, its a tie between a couple of things...
1) Americans being fed NAZI bs everyday by their govt
2) The US govt covering up/keeping information from the general public
3) The US govt being full of corrupt nazi fatcat bastards
4) The avg citizen in the US knows nothing about any of these things
5) The citizens who do know (more likely than not) dont/wont do anything about it
