Grand Rapids, MI - A poll conducted October 19-20 by Public Opinion Strategies of 400 likely voters in Michigan’s Third Congressional District shows Republican Justin Amash leading Democrat Pat Miles 49% to 30%. The margin of error is 4.9%.
Other findings include:
Amash leads Miles among independent voters 40% to 29%
Amash has more than double Miles’s support from the other side of the aisle: Amash has 8% of the Democratic vote, while Miles has 3% of the Republican vote
Amash leads by 15 points among likely voters over 65 years old: 49% to 34%
Amash leads by almost 30 points among likely voters 18-44 years old: 53% to 24%
"I'm honored to have the support of so many people throughout the Third District. It’s clear that voters are looking for a candidate who will fight out-of-control spending, repeal the government’s takeover of health care and replace it with patient-centered reforms that reduce costs, and lower our taxes so we can get our economy growing again,” said Justin Amash.
