I gotta say, I know the NRSC was not exactly rooting for us in the primary, but they said at the beginning of the general that they were going to get behind Rand Paul as the Republican nominee, and they've not only lived up to their word, they've really come to the fight with both guns blazing. Major props.

Although I'm curious, how much money is the NRSC actually spending on airtime in KY for these ads?

The tea party feeling is driving the enthusiasm that resurrected them from the grave. Rand's coattails are, I am sure, being counted on to give the entire slate a boost, statewide.

Good ad, but it's a little concerning that the NRSC feels that they still need to spend money in this race. Their own polling must still show that the race is close.

I don't think that's necessarily the case. They know Rand's campaign is the flagship of this November and want to be positive that they win decisively.

Plus:

1. DSCC is spending money here.
2. Jack Conway had one NRSC ad pulled, probably pissed them off.

Rand is helping republicans across the country by getting the DSCC to sink so much money into kentucky.

Let's just hope that that DSCC money doesn't pay off!
