Reasons to decriminalize?

1. Saves 13 billion (conservative estimate) annually on the "War" on Drugs, and would empty out our prison system of nearly half of population of non-violent "criminals".
2. Removes a major revenue source from drug cartels and organized crime.
3. Opens up two entire "new" market areas, industrial hemp and recreational pot, including growth, proccessing, and distribution.
4. Generates tax revenue.
5. May see a decline in the use of hard drugs like meth, crack, etc.

Reasons to keep pot illegal.

1. Um...
2. The Reefer Madness movie says it's ebil.

This issue really points to the control that media has on people. In 2010, hemp (which is a valuable crop) is illegal to grow and harvest simply because it would be profitable and good for the people, not the elite. Sheesh! Incredible times.
