That was a good interview, and I commend Ziggy Marley for his answers. He sounds like a bright person.

I agree theo, good article and he definitely sounds bright though truth be told I had some problems understanding him at times through his accent. Industrial hemp is so useful it is mind boggling that it isn't legal. It is a great renewable resource. Hempseed is a nutritious food, hemp stalks have an amazing fiber that can be used to make paper to particle board. Historically it also was proven to make great ropes and canvas, etc.

Awesome tune....

"Inflation, no chance, to increase....finance...." Marvin Gaye

Funny, when I was a hard core liberal music was a big part of the whole picture....but now that I have done a complete 180, all the same songs seem to talk even more truth to me now. If we could turn the image from "racist" to the "real movement of social justice" with some good youtube videos with popular social justice songs we could really turn the corner.

Someone mentioned Booker T. Washington on this site and I looked him up and couldn't believe how good his writings were...Old N.W.A., maybe some Marley...These guys only wanted "Freedom and Liberty"

"Never let a Politician grant you a favor, they will always want to control you forever..." Bob Marley - Revolution.....What a sweet slam on Big Government.

From the youtube comment section haha: "Fuckin obama"

This is why I think it's just as important for this movement to nurture libertarian songwriters, screenwriters, and satirists as it is to run candidates for political office. The power of the creative arts in reaching hearts and minds cannot be overlooked. Unfortunately, this is something that those of the big government persuasion know full well, so they've had much more practice at it than we have.

Yup. A movement that seems "cool" to belong too will draw as many followers as the facts...The video I usually show first to people is the one with the rap song "just gimme a sign" and it always keeps them watching and reading until the end...yet I find it hard to get friends to sit and really listen to the whole "Neo-Conned" speech straight through, even though it is super bad ass....

^THIS!!!!!!!!!

In fact I'd say it is more important than nurturing candidates. The social change is more important than the political change. By changing the worldview of people through what seems to be apolitical things like music, movies & literature, the job of those who want to work within the system will be much, much easier.
