There were 3 involved, and I had a slight hand in the originating the concept and planning the execution thereof. I had to be out of town for work so I couldn't be there in person sadly enough. Two of these individuals are RPF members, Richard A Hamblen and Richard Embody. And then Markham Gross is a local CFL guy too.
Bill Haslam, the RINO running for Governor in TN went to a TN Firearms Association meeting last night. He actually said that the Constitution doesn't apply in the real world. You can see it here already: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=264996
But due to our coordinated 1,2,3 tag-teaming effort we were also able to get him into committing to sign an open / unrestricted carry / permit-optional law if the legislature passed it. Not only that but we got him on record saying this. Given the political climate for the next two years, I think that there is a very good possibility that the legislature will pass it!
:D:D:D:D:D
I guarantee you that he regrets saying this but he hasn't walked it back and probably will not do so.
What is the point?
Thanks to Ron Paul and his followers in Tennessee, there is a good possibility that TN will join VT as being the most free state with regards to the right to keep and bear arms within the next couple of years
We got it spread all over the news, and the Dems (and many of the country-club Republicans) are going ape over it.
Here is the press we have received thus far:
