For once Chris Matthews wasn't half bad, except he talks over his interviewee too much still. I would love to hear Dr. Paul's answers to this, although I dont see a chance in hell he shows up.

thanks for the video. that was a good grilling by matthews, who i don't believe cares for dr. paul. but he got right to the point on conway and this meaningless crap.

Hmmm...at 4:26 Chris Matthews referred to Rand as Dr. Paul. Hmmm... Wasn't a Chris Matthews a former Goldwater supporter? I wonder if there's a part of him that secretly likes the Pauls, despite his usual actions.

By about 6:30, you can sense that Jack wants to be outta there. He's uncomfortable and knows the interview is going poorly.

During his interview of Ron Paul, Matthews said Goldwater was his hero when he was growing up, but then he "grew up".

Thank you. For some reason, I sometimes confuse Chris Matthews and Ed, from the "Ed Show". I wonder if there is a latent, deep down feeling of respect for the Pauls. Note that he did refer to Rand as Dr. Paul in his interview with Conway. Perhaps, despite his politics, there is still some respect for libertarianism. Maybe more like Vader, in that there is still some good in him (although not much).

Hmmm...attacking someone's professed religion. Why does that sound familiar?

It seems pretty obvious that this (Matthews attack) is not truly a defense of Rand. This is a defense of Obama against all of the people who question Obama's professed Christianity. And also a generic defense of college (youthful) indiscretions.

Ratings pure and simple, Matthews is a worm, we know that. The mood of the country is STRONGLY opposed to democrats, Obama, MSNBC, and those that relate. This may be an attempt to save face on MSNBC's part by throwing a lesser minion under the bus.( which is too easy, Conway is weak by all comparisons ) The mainstream still needs to be on the side of the people in order to control the flow of information. Just my opinion.
