Dennis definitely sounds like a "Pauler"

I thought this was an SNL skit at first... :D

Here's the entire debate. It's VERY entertaining.

Yep, this Dennis Steele sounds like he's been reading his Ron Paul homework.

From The Hill:

Ron Paul was the Secret Santa in this debate. Ideas of the independent candidates such as a sovereign currency for Vermont, secession — they are using the phrase “liberation” now — to “control our own destiny” and a governor who could stand heroically against foreign policy are not radically new anymore, although they shocked the locals up here five years ago. We hear ideas like this regularly today on Fox Business and elsewhere.

Holy ****. I'd give anything for Georgia's lame debates to be half as interesting.

Unfortunately, doesn't look like he has very much of a chance.

Vermont Public Radio Poll, Oct. 11-13
625 registered voters; MOE +/- 4%

Vermont Governor
Brian Dubie (Republican) -- 44%
Peter Shumlin (Democrat/Working Families) -- 43%
Ben Mitchell (Liberty Union Party) -- 1%
Cris Ericson (US Marijuana Party) -- 1%
Dan Feliciano (Independent) -- 1%
Dennis Steele (Independent) -- 1%
Em Peyton (Independent) -- 1%
Undecided -- 8%

Gotta love having a candidate from the US Marijuana Party in the mix, though :p

The guy in the beginning was quite annoying...he quotes the Constitution on some issues but then says he is for all out wealth redistribution....so where in the Constitution is that allowed? Dennis Steele had a better idea of course not to arbitrarily punish people for success but engage the monetary policy that creates most of the imbalances.

OMG, was he channeling James Trafficant in that interview? :D
