RPH has wrought magic:

These all have a similar "Vote Bradley" on the back side, and a yardsign with messaging on the traffic side. The other side of the road will see the bigger "Bradley"

Looking at how all the winners and the losers are campaigning (and have been campaigning for years) around here, this really is the final piece in the ground game that makes the rest of it all work. Residents will see this as Bradley stepping up with the rest of the winners.

Well given your district I think it is a great ad.

Anything more might seem to be too "slick."

If I had anything to do with it my OCD would have lead to "picture perfect." Which in this case would have been bad.

You know your district! Keep on keeping on.

Do I see a bit of RPH lettering?

When I was out canvassing, I couldn't for the life of me believe how many of those things that the one guy had who was running (I think) for county commissioner. I may have forgotten his name now, but I know I'd be able to pick it out on a ballot.

Great work!

Looks fantastic! One small suggestion: stake them to the ground or put a cinder block on each of the legs, that way they won't get blown over in a strong wind. Wouldn't metal stakes and zipties be a cheaper method of supporting them (less time to assemble as well), rather than the wooden frames?

We're using 3' rebar pieces with the top bent over like a candy cane. Out towards the end of the foot, two per sign on opposite corners, we're banging these rebar pieces into the ground and hooking them over the wood. They do seem to be sticking pretty good. :D

A lot of the size and design of these came from a time crunch. In 2 years for the reelection, I expect to use the same stands to hold a set of 48" by 36" signs, and then probably make a set of bigger ones for 8' by 4' signs.

Awesome! It didn't show in the picture, you probably took it before you staked 'em down.

edit: A piece of chain and a floorjack will be an easy way to remove the stakes after the election

LOL yeah, when we took the picture, the stakes were about 30 miles north of us. We went back and staked this one down the next day lol. :D

I was wondering about the best way to pull those pieces of rebar, they are stuck in the ground pretty darn good actually. Durn near takes a 5lb sledge just to drive em. heh.

Sit the floorjack on a scrap of plywood so it dosen't sink into the ground and get all muddy. If you're lucky, you can get the end of your candy cane to catch in the cup of the jack. If not, then make a loop of chain and get one end of the loop under the end of your candy cane and the other over the cup of the floor jack, and jack away. Should be pretty easy once you get them started. Putting a few "punctures" in the surrounding ground (with another piece of rebar, or a shovel, etc) and pouring some water to soak in a few hours beforehand may help make it easier. Hope this helps.
