I am watching his new show and he is showing some really healthy skepticism toward government...so...

Why is he a socialist?

Wouldn't a distrust of government lead you in the direction of liberty? I don't get it...

He feels..............................He doesn't think. His emotions guide him far too much, which explains his socialist persuasions. I'm not advocating to be a wooden man devoid of feelings, but the moment you start to inject emotion into our supposed blind laws, you embark upon a dangerous road.

Why is he a socialist?

Jesse Ventura supports Government-run Healthcare (ObamaCare).

First I heard that he supports ObamaCAare or that he was a "socialist".

He did speak at Dr. Paul's rally in Minneapolis that kicked off C4L

He doesn't understand economics. Otherwise, he's alright. Can be kind of annoying.

I would consider Government-run healthcare a Socialist idea.

What's strange is that Ventura doesn't trust the government, but he trusts the government to manage his health?

He doesn't research anything. He just repeats what others tell him. That's my main issue with him, he's not saying his own ideas.

Oh and him constantly saying "I WAS A NAVY SEAL" is really annoying, especially considering that he was a member of the Underwater Demolition Team which was merged with the SEALS 8 years after he left the Navy.

Yeah he is a libertarian/socialist......which makes him moron because he apparently has not thought out just how those two things cannot coexist logically in someone's brain.

Yeah, Ventura is definitely too emotional-based... and he tends to make some contradictory statements... such as a solid distrust of govt - then thinking its best for them to run his healthcare. He's confused and needs some economics in his brain - then he'll be golden.

This is like 75% if the country though. If they actually thought things through just a little bit, they might see how their means do not suit their ends.

If he is a socialist he is not a libertarian. In fact I don't even get liberal libertarian. If you believe in centralized government control over people's decisions you cannot be a libertarian too.

Most ppl believe we need some government at a min. endless variation as to local, state or fed and if it should deal with social or economic issues. You can be a liberal libertarian.

Libertarian Socialism is a real political ideology. You can frequently find libertarian socialists posting videos on youtube glorifying Soviet leaders

And yet just because they name it that does not make it any less insane. We can also have Neoconism/libertarianism too!!!
