Found this site the other day and not exactly sure what I was looking up but it was linked on the page I was on and I found it interesting. Not all natives are buying the trinkets crap, nor should they as he has been selling out their interests to corporations just like other Presidents prior have done.

Their new website is:http://americanindianteapartynation.wordpress.com/

personally when i go to pine ridge and the surrounding areas. i get alot of positive feedback on my Ron Paul Stickers!! If Republicans were smart they would offer free weed:) sarcasm:)

The way i look at it is the republicans do the samething in areas as well! If it is that much of a concern then the republicans could maybe pitch we would remove black mold from your houses on the indian res if you vote for our candidate!!!

the lakota nation is the poorest nation on earth!! These people need help!

This is a non-issue to me!!!! groups from both parties always offer free rides and even food!!

the problem is the republicans(not all) in gordon and surrounding area look at the indians the sameway our government does! they do not give a rats azz about them! It is disgusting how lil hope these folks have on the indian res!! The blatant hatred of indians still exist by many white folks in sd and Nebraska it is very saddening situtation!!!!

I'm in Northern AZ and the reservations can't enough blankets and rations from the federal government, even while they get screwed over. Kirkpatrick is in the process of bribing them now with federal grants.

It's so sad how they continue to fall for the fedgov's lies. They are in a unique situation, and should take greater advantage of their sovereign status. For example, rather than smokes and casinos, they should consider Dr. Rich's idea (http://covertrationingblog.com/general-rationing-issues/black-market-healthcare-a-few-concrete-suggestions):

2) Native American Medical Centers. There are two things about the current state of Native American culture which make this approach to black market healthcare at least feasible, if not compelling. First is the recognized “sovereign status” of Native American reservations, the same status which has allowed various tribes across the land to open gambling casinos, even in states which otherwise do not allow such establishments. If their sovereign status justifies casinos (establishments of mere entertainment, which, in fact, encourage bad behaviors of all sorts such as alcoholism, prostitution, smoking and – gasp!- obesity), then surely the same sovereign status would justify establishing advanced institutions of healing.

Second is the deep guilt that Americans rightly feel about the treatment Native Americans have suffered over the years, much of which was arranged by the U.S. government. Note, in particular, that one of the ongoing claims which Native Americans have against the larger American culture is the chronically substandard state of the healthcare services they are provided. So, who will dare stand in the way of these oppressed peoples, when they propose to dedicate a portion of their pitiful remaining sovereign lands (with the help of, perhaps, the Mayo Clinic and its benefactors) to the development of world-class medical centers?

One advantage of the “Native American Strategy” for black market healthcare is that it would allow medical centers of various sizes and emphasis to be established in numerous convenient tribal locations around the U.S., as the need and logistics allow. Within a decade or two, if they play their cards right, Native American tribes may even find themselves controlling nearly 20% of the American economy – which would be justice at its finest.

Industrial hemp also!

If anyone should know not to trust the fed govt it should be the natives .

I don't even know what to say to this, except that I'm more than a little disappointed in some of my Indian brothers and sisters out there. Lakota are the last people I expected to go for the silver-tongued trickery of Demopublican/Republicrat politicians, especially with no less a personage than the legendary Russell Means guiding and advising them.

Having said this, it's hard to blame a people so consistently marginalized, so tragically gelded by Anglo-American Imperialism, for seeking any potential respite, even from the slime of DC. I just think it's sad that they haven't yet realized their true power and cut all the apron strings of oppression linking them to this bloated and moribund union. When they finally do, they'll surprise even themselves with the level of their own survivability and potency as a demographic group. I pray it happens sooner rather than later.

I've never understood the collective guilt associated with the Indians.

Just as I don't feel any guilt over slavery, I don't feel as if I owe anything to the Indian tribes either.

While I don't know all the details of their sovereign status, it always seemed a bad idea to grant certain people special privileges apart from the rest of the populace.

Better, I think, to have integrated them into society like the freed slaves.

yes, that is correct, that's what the republicans did to get thune elected. South Dakota has some pretty evil national political campaigns.

And yes, the natives are still falling for the tricks of the evil, corrupt white man, sad to say.
