Sure, I agree, but I wouldn't expect Mrs. O'Donnell to do that any better than Bush would.
We need opposition in government though. Coons would be better long term because he'll be opposition 4 years of the 6, where O'Donnell would be 2 years of opposition (assuming a republican wins in 2012)
but if Paul wins we would need O'Donnell in the senate definitely.

Yes, but Coons would be a senator until he dies, while O'Donnell would have a very tough time surviving the following primary, much less the general election.
