I know this is not in the spirit of this year, but I hope Mark Kirk (R-IL) loses. The Democrat is terrible, too, but Kirk is bad on almost every issue. Voted for the bailout, voted for Cap and Trade, voted for Food Safety Bill, I contacted him repeatedly over legalizing Industrial Hemp (HR 1866) and he got back to me saying the law is great and doesn't go far enough. He is no friend of liberty, and even though Alexi is an Obama Democrat, on the whole, Kirk is far worse.

I thought Republicans were certain to pick up Washington?

It's well within the margin of error on all polls conducted recently. It's anyone's game.

Certain? No. But it's very possible. The race is split even. They need that state to pick up a majority. If not, they will need a far less probable CT, NY, or DE.

Agreed.. And if you ask me DE is not on the table, followed by NY as the next least likely, with CT having a slight chance at victory..

if its a tie, Lieberman will flip quicker than Thomas a Beckett. Ben Nelson might flip, too.

Dems have to go just to stop the HC Bill....I will not stop until it is repealed and government is out of my life. The current crop of Dems has to be culled and something else put in it's place. Almost every single one of them sold their souls to pass that HC Bill....I want them all gone, or enough of them where a repeal happens.

If there was one ounce of a chance that some of these dems would support a repeal I could be mor forgiving, I was not hard against them after the Bush era GOP did what it did, however the current crop of Dems are the worst I have ever seen...ever. And if they keep any kind of majority I cannot be free in my HC decisions. That is unacceptable they must go.

The democrats will still control the senate. The president of the senate (Biden) votes if there is a deadlock.

Historically who wins the house also wins the senate, and the trend in polls, shows both are going to be controlled by Repubs...

Too bad, we don't have more liberty candidates running this year. We need to fill the party with RP candidates by 2012.
