View Full Version : First Lawson-Price Debate

Holy shit, BJ completely SLAYED Price tonight. The IndyWeekly taped all of it, and will be putting it online shortly, unedited.

Basically, Price just threw mud the entire time, and BJ ended up walking out looking like not only the bigger man, but the anti-war and common sense economic regulation candidate. He also got Price to admit on flip-flops in his voting record (such as with the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, which Price said "didn't matter" because they "didn't enforce it" - "it" being the cap on liabilities for oil companies in case of disaster).

Not only that, but I'd say at least 3/4 of the people there (in Durham, where the debate was held) were Lawson supporters. I'm guessing there were maybe 100 people there.

Crappy pic that only shows about 1/3 of the room (not counting those sitting down in front in this pic):

I found where you can re-watch the stream. I'm sure there will be better quality footage coming soon.

Lawson should have hit him harder on illegal invasion.

Lawson should have hit Price with facts like 50 million on food stamps, 18% jobless and underemployment, poverty and foreclosures and busted budget and debt.

This makes it difficult to support illegals most of whom are on welfare dole and eating taxpayer money.

Lawson did not smash Price hard enough.

Also, on oil spill, he should have talked about MMS corruption and tie it to Washington DC.

Lawson really reminds me of a young Ron Paul. There's something about the prospect of him getting sent to Congress this year that just makes me want to launch off of my desk chair and do a victory dance.
