A lot of NRA's Democrat endorsements are inexcusable, I'm sure (including endorsing Joe Donnelly over Jackie Walorski, a real 2nd amendment champion, in my congressional district). But some of them probably are fair. For example, based on their records, I don't see how the NRA could fail to endorse Brad Ellsworth over Dan Coats in Indiana's Senate race.

Their "endorsement" really means diddly.

Unfortunately, I think you're probably not right about that. There are a lot of people who consider them the only gun rights group out there, who don't get into the issue enough to know what you do, and who still care enough to notice an NRA endorsement.

this, but the NRA is not nearly as loyal to the 2A as the GOA or JPFO.
